A M Lane Ltd goes Solar

As part of our continuing commitment to reducing our carbon footprint we have had a 4Kw passive voltaic solar panels fitted to the office roof. This means that most of the day time energy consumed by the office will be generated by the panels, any excess will be fed back into the grid. The panels were fitted in July and came online in August. They are a new thin film product specially designed to give improved generation in low light situations. As part of the installation it was necessary to fit a new roof, not planned for but a timely operation given the state of the old one!

We were even able to save the Reflexed Stonecrop (yellow flower in the foreground) growing valleys of the old roof and relocate it to an older part of the roof.
