Tony started trading as A M Lane (Estate & Countryside Management) in 1993 and soon won his first soft wood thinning contract on the Duchy of Cornwall estate.  Business grew to include tree surgery, fencing, equestrian cross country fence construction, stone walling and also chainsaw instruction.

In 2005 A M Lane became incorporated and moved away from contracting into arboricultural consultancy, training and H&S advice.  Tony was admitted to the Institute of Chartered Foresters in 2007 and in the same year was also elected to be a Fellow of the Arboricultural Association.  In 2009 he was admitted as member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. 

Tony is a co-opted member of the Arboricultural Association's Media & Communications Committee, he is also on the editorial board of the Arboricultural Journal and an industry representative on the Lantra Sector Skills Council'Trees and Timber Group'.

As a Member of the Association of Accounting Technicians, Karen has a broad range of financial knowledge and experience.  In 2001 she took over the day to day financial management of the business.
